Glassven was founded in Barquisimeto city, Venezuela, in 1978 and has been Venezuela’s largest manufacturer and market leader in producing Precipitated Silicas, Synthetic Sodium Aluminum Silicates and Sodium Silicates.Our first plant was located in La Victoria city, where are produced Neutral and Alkaline Sodium Silicates in two different forms: liquid and glass lumps.Later, the product manufacture lines went: Sodium Metasilicates (Somet-P) and the inorganic glues (Adhosil 240-140).In order to extend our product basis, Silicate II, located in Barquisimeto city, started operations in 1982 to produce Hydrous Powder Sodium Silicate: Karbosil (KA-2000 and KA-2400) and Glassil (GA and GN).In 1986, in Barquisimeto city, first Silica Plant was founded and aimed to Precipitated Silicas production, Grades Rubbersil, Pirosil, Gelsil and Dentsil.In 2003, we started a new manufacturing plant in Yangzhong city, China, where Precipitated Silicas and Synthetic Sodium Aluminum Silicates are produced and worldwide exported.Today, we supply our products to more than one hundred countries around the world, with presence in the five continents. Our mission has become to being not just another silica manufacturer in the extensive chemical market, but also as an alternative to satisfy the industry’s needs, covering all their requirements.That is why we have accepted the challenge of serving our customers with promptness and responsibility.It is our firm conviction that quality can only be maintained and improved through continuous monitoring and application of innovative ideas.Each production site has a Quality Control Laboratory with a highly trained and qualified staff in order to guarantee the finest products leaded to a global market.We have a Central Research and Development Laboratory dedicated to the development of new products and applications. Our customers can count on our technical support, where they are provided with ideas in the developments of new products and their applications.Our company complies with all regulations, laws and rules relating with inert powders, environment preservation and safety handling of chemical substances during manufacture and distribution processes.Glassven have been certified by ISO 9001:2000 International Standard.
